Hector is a mystery pig; he was dumped as a piglet in September 2023. Dumping animals is illegal, but it doesn’t stop people from doing it. Hector clearly had positive interactions with humans before arriving at Darrowby; he immediately flopped for tummy rubs and he still throws himself on the feet of anyone who comes close to him.
Hector is very reminiscent of Gilbert and Arthur in his confidence, his innately affectionate nature, and his endlessly positive attitude. After his quarantine lifted he was introduced to Harriet, our other abandoned piglet, and they became instant friends. They currently sleep together every night on a shared dog bed, which we will be sad to see them outgrow. We’re so grateful that Hector will be able to spend his entire life being loved and protected as all living beings should.
