Merlin arrived at Darrowby after his family experienced a catastrophic life change. He had been rescued by them from a college dorm room, and when he arrived here he was unneutered and full of testosterone and odor. Despite this challenging beginning, he was still very clearly affectionate and full of love for his human companions.
After his neuter surgery, Merlin quickly changed from being driven by his hormones to being driven by snuggles, affection, and treats. He loves browsing in the trees and being told how handsome and smart he is. When he was finally able to be integrated with the other goats, he and Abby fell deeply in love, despite her being twice his age and half his size. Merlin and Abby can be seen playing together day and night, chasing, headbutting, and nuzzling. Merlin truly belongs here, and we are so glad he found us.
